Dr. Davina Spencer is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked in Florida and Virginia, where she honed her skills and passion for animal well - being. Growing up in a quaint town nestled in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, she carries the values of community and connection into the practice.
Dr. Spencer's professional interest include surgery, ultrasound, dermatology, and preventive care. Each day presents an opportunity to merge her skills with a genuine love for animals, making a positive impact on their lives.
Dr. Spencer loves spending time with her husband Hunter and their beloved canine companion, Lolli, who hold a special place in her heart. She also enjoys delving into captivating books to exploring the bounties of nature through foraging and rock hounding. She finds joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Dr. Diana Hewitt
Dr. Diana Hewitt is a 1982 graduate of Auburn University. She started in a small animal practice in Chesapeake where she met her husband and after 4 years there became an associate vet at Kempsville Veterinary Hospital. She has always loved working with animals especially dogs and cats. Going to work every day you learn to expect the unexpected and to be flexible.
Veterinary medicine has provided her with endless challenges both exciting and different. Foolishly, I thought I needed to retire and sis so in the summer of 2020. Lasting only 8 weeks, I went back to work part-time in the height of COVID. It is a career that has provided me with amazing experience.
Her greatest achievements have been raising two bright and caring daughters who have followed their father into education as teachers. In her free time she enjoys gardening and working in the yard as well as entertaining her two labs and dog sitting her daughter's young lab.

Dr. Philip Haros joined Kempsville Veterinary Hospital in 2022. After studying veterinary medicine in Australia and Canada, He came back home to Virginia Beach to settle down. Dr. Haros' interests include internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and urgent care.
In his free time you can find him exploring antique shops, playing with his dogs, and traveling abroad! He owns a Bernese mountain dog name Ovi and a Bernedoodle named Oni.

Dr. Hung Vu was raised in Northern Virginia, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and attended vet school at Virginia Tech. He now lives in Virginia Beach as part of his state-wide tour and has been part of the Hilltop team since 2018.
Dr. Vu’s professional interests include preventative health care, surgery, and especially behavior. He is Fear Free certified, which means less stressful clinic visits for your pets. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, watching sports and YouTube videos of cats, and going on long walks with his hound Sammy.

Gabrielle joined Kempsville Veterinary Hospital in February 2022 and became the Office Manager in April of 2022. She has spent most of her life traveling working with teenagers and animals across the country. She graduated from a small college in Ohio with a degree in Ecotourism and Adventure Travel.
Gabrielle came to us after moving from her home state of New Hampshire where she managed a large animal practice and boarding barn. She came to Virginia Beach to settle down with her two life partners Manasseh and Elizabeth. She has 3 dogs and Jasper the resident "Office Kitty of Kempsville".
In her free time she enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking. Going on adventures to vintage and antique markets, and relaxing at home with her family. She is also currently in school for Veterinary Practice Management where she is working on getting her Certified Veterinary Practice Management Certification.

Tia has been a veterinary assistant here at Kempsville Veterinary Hospital for a little over a year. She spent some time at Hollins University studying biology and enjoying the beauty of the Appalachia. She now moved back home to Virginia Beach and next year will be starting the Veterinary Technician Program at Tidewater Community College.
Tia enjoys rocking climbing, practicing Vinyasa Yoga, watching gardening vlogs and YouTube videos. She is dedicated to the care and wellbeing of your animals and looks forward to seeing your little fur babies soon!

She is the oldest of four siblings and the first in her family to purse veterinary medicine - and will be starting the Veterinary Technician Program at Tidewater Community College this Spring!

After retiring as a Latin teacher, a broadcaster, and a quality assurance manager, she became a part time receptionist at Kempsville in early 2015. She enjoys the conversations with our clients and greeting my dog and cat friends when they come in!
When not at work, Vickie enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, walking them on wooded trails or taking them swimming in the Chesapeake Bay. Vickie also enjoys spending the warmer months in her garden!

Meighan has been a receptionist at Kempsville for a little over a year. She is currently a student in a Veterinary Technology Program, but since her time here at Kempsville has fallen in love with the office administration side of the veterinary practice. She is incredibly passionate about here work here at Kempsville and loves being the friendly face you seen when you come in!
